FW44 is the umbrella name for it's 2 sub groups Co.'B' U.S. 146th Engineer Combat Battalion & the American Red Cross  'Donut Dollies' who do fantastic American home cooking to keep the G.I's  morale up being so far away from home.   we are based in the Southwest of England where we focus on the history of the US Assault Training Centre, North Devon.  Our purpose is research  education & remembrance of the thousands of American troops who came to England to prepare for the Normandy Invasion. We take part in Living history displays, re-enactments, field researches  & T.V. documentary's.
