Does anyone have any interesting winter projects on the go??

This Winter I'm consolidating my display and concentrating on a big addition to the display (which will remain secret for now) and tidying up the rest and thinking of ways to further bring our display to life and more interactive for the public, 

With any luck I will have a 100lb bomb to add soon, one that will have an odd - but interesting paint job and message for the fuehrer!

Our AA mount has been sold off now so that we dont have to worry about the kids pulling it over when they get too close, the .50 cal will now form a better more interactive part of the armorer part of the display too!

We have done loads - mainly due to 5 year battle with a bank paying off in our favour!

The best thing has to be the gas firing MG34 - it will be coming to Bloxworth and Davidstow. Simon has been extremely busy making boxes for weapons, boxes to carry the gas canisters, boxes for beer etc.

We find the kids totally love sitting on and in Bertha, so a few mods have made her safer and more protected against the kids!

Ummm... what else? two pieces of extra canvas for the tent in bad weather, full A frame kit, deact K98, blank firing P38 and we also have an order on a blank firing MP40...

A lot of what I do relates to the machines that we take to events.  I am fitting an oil pressure gauge to the Gaz and looking to a temperature sensor too.  The WDCO needs its hazard lights fixed.  The usual, tyres, oil, cleaning. The closest event for us in 17 will be Helston Railway, so we'll have the tractor, implements, WDCO , Gaz and other heavier weapons.

Well Christmas delivered a few new bits for my display, which inevitably lead to something else, now we have another display item to create and bring with us along with my big project, I think i'll be taking a friends trailer offer up this year!

I started work today on a project and it was so cold I had to surrender and run back to the warmth lol, all being well next weekend I shall restart and post some progress pictures

For the cold I have some ex-German issue under-overalls which are quilted.  I got those after the winter of 2010, fixing cars in the shed!

I have the comfort of the house 20 feet away from my garage so if it gets too cold the kettle gets put on and a hot coffee soon warms up only yesterday was a bit too bitter!

I managed to get a bit more done today, so progress is a good thing!

Si has been working nonstop for quite a while now and makes sure he has his long johns on... needless to say stop complaining you Cornish lot it was -8 here in Oxon!!!
