FILM SHOOT - Camborne, Cornwall -
I've attached a synopis to give you an idea of what the story is about. The Beautiful Spy will be a short film intended for various national and international short film festivals.
Filming will be here at our farm between Praze and Barripper.
The story begins with the ambush of a senior Nazi travelling in Keith's Kubel. The resistance group, in which a British SoE agent has been placed, lays a trap for the approaching Nazi (based loosely on various true stories from occupied Europe including the assasination of Heinrich, but not specific). The group succeeds in assasinating their target, but are later captured and shot at a farm along with the surrounding populace.
I asked Keith about Sten guns and he's contacted you for which I'm most grateful. I need people as resistance fighters, as this is going to open with a group attack. I understand the weapons are blank firing, which would be excellent. If you could come and join us as resistance fighters (no nationality is referred to in the script) armed with British Stens, that would be great.
We're shooting on Canon 50D type DSLR cameras, which you may already be familiar with. They produce a true movie style format at a fraction of the cost of using 35 mm, but they appear completely insignificant, so no big cinematic equipment; it'll look more like a photo shoot.
I would estimate that we should be able to shoot the ambush scene within half a day and we need bodies for the post-massacre scenes, so hopefully a day's filming should be enough. Let me know how much you'd require for expenses.
