It has been a long time since we have thought about the future and what WWIIRESW should be doing.  Here's your chance to have your say.

I think that re-enactment insurance is a central part of what we do and we have 70 members signed up to it, HOWEVER, I feel that this is a relatively risky venture, because the coverage is very good and requires ONLY decent people holding it.

I tend to agree - do you vet the people who have insurance and/or are they only known to you? Maybe worth only accepting those you know you can trust?

As I don't have Facebook I do find this website useful myself!

Yes, heavily vetted.  In one way, I'd like to hand it to another broker (since we act like one), BUT , the organisation of others is useless (Like AFRA).  Whatever we may be, .............."disorganised" or "not tech savvy" isn't one of them

Yes I agree the insurance is important but we get a lot of requests from people we never see and who are out of our area so perhaps we need to be more selective.

Like Rose I don't have Facebook so the website is useful and the events list is great and easy to access.

Facebook is vastly over-rated.  You won't find any re-enactment groups on-line if they do not have websites.

NEW WEB DEVELOPMENT - I have added an area map with contact details here - https://wwiireenactmentsouthwest.co.uk/area_map.html

The map is good, it will enable any public looking for us to be able to pinpoint groups near to them.

I am looking at changing the insurance to a different insurer and finding someone to do it.  Wish me luck :-)

Good luck! Don't use AFRA though, they are really rubbish...
