Dear Sirs,

My name is James Robertshaw, I belong to the Royal British Legion in Oxfordshire. I have been raising money for the RBL Poppy Appeal and Combat Stress, supporting our serving military personnel and military veterans, together with their families, by writing seven books on the D Day landings. One book per beach. This project has taken me three years and has just finished. The books cover every beach and are 52 pages long, 6th British Airborne, Sword, Gold, Juno, Omaha, Utah and the 101st& 82nd US Airborne. The books are full of maps, current and old photographs, German Fortification, units and citations, operations Army, Navy and Airforce, to overcome the fortifications and free Europe from German occupation and slavery. The books have been written not only to raise badly needed money, but also to honour the men who are buried in Normandy and to remember what they did for our country to keep us in freedom and liberty. We should say through their efforts that we are proud to be British.

I am hoping that you will support the project by stocking set of these seven books in your library and putting up posters. These books are ideal for people to read about this part of British history and be proud of who we are as a country.

I have tried to honour those men who lie in Normandy and the books are designed to act as a guide for each beach should anyone chose to visit Normandy. A moving experience.

I hope you can support this project, please contact me should you have any queries. I would be happy at any time to talk about my work and give a presentation.

Yours faithfully
