BUDE AT WAR is shaping up to be a massive weekend of events with people already booked in from all over the world! We have an exciting programme even bigger and better than last time with Spitfire and Hurricane Aircraft & Engine Runs, Firepower Displays, 2nd Battalion Rangers Climbing Experience, American Baseball, GI Dance and much more – it’s a weekend you really won’t want to miss! It is 80 years since the American came to train for D-Day on our beaches. We are planning a thought provoking weekend of heritage, history and education.

We appreciate our re-enactors so much and want to provide the best experience we can for you too. This year the concessions for re-enactors and military vehicle owners is:

• Food with Nick May – hearty US Army meals
• Concessions on tickets (or free tickets) throughout the weekend
• Fuel contribution on request
• Free Tea & Coffee with the Donut Dollies every day
• 24hr access to toilets & showers
• Ammo and fire power displays paid for.
• Free wreaths for any unit that would like to lay one at the memorial service on Sunday Morning

Last time the quality of food we provided was brought to our attention so this year we’ve got the fabulous Nick May providing hearty US Army style meals to keep you all well fed throughout the weekend.

We’d need to know if you’d like to take part by the end of June to confirm our programme. A separate application form for concessions, once you know your numbers attending, will go out a little later and we’ll be in touch to ask questions about your Unit for our education packs.

Please can we let you know that Bude at War will be happening on 16th and 17th Sep. We are taking bookings for re-enactment groups and people can book on line at www.budeatwar.uk

Concessions are available for all re-enactment groups and vehicle owners, such as fuel subsidy, GI Dance tickets and meal vouchers.
