Torcross, Slapton Sands Tank Memorial Car Park

To mark the actual 70th Anniversary in 2014 a Memorial is to take place on the anniversary date, Monday 28th April. The focus on this will be to educate and engage the next generation. Local schools will be invited to attend the service and lay wreaths as well as read their poems on the events that happened so many years ago.

We would very much like to have some WW2 US military vehicles present in the car park for the memorial along with some uniformed US re-enactors. We would like at least 4 vehicles if that is possible. We would like you to arrive on the morning of Monday 28th April in the Tank memorial car park at Torcross and be present until the conclusion of the service at approx.. 1600.
